*Blog (a derivative of “web” and “log”) is essentially an online diary,
where anyone with a basic knowledge of computers can post anything – random
thoughts, photos, homework, and poetry, just to name a few– for the rest of the
world to see.
*A blog is a shortened version of a online diary and in other terms it
means an online interactive journal.
*The owner of the blog writes on the blog and is known as blogger or
author of the blog.
*Number of people using a blog as a personal dairy to share their
personal experiences, opinions and content.

*Use the blog to reach readers, let them know how things work, why
decisions were made.

Personal blog
A personal blog is about the
person who runs the blog.it includes the blogs about personal topics like politics,music,family,travel.
Collaborative or group blogs
A type of weblog in which posts are written and published by more than
one author.
It is a practice of posting small piece of digital content.
Corporate and Organizational blogs
A blog can be private,as in most cases,or it can be used for business
purposes.
A reverse blog is composed by its users rather than a single blogger.
*Enables you to write down your thoughts on anything that interest you.
*Easy to set up: don’t need much technical knowledge
*Easy and quick to update or add new posts.
*people can leave comments on your blog.
*Whatever you publish is available for everyone to see. if you write a
post in anger to might regret later
*personal blogs may be based or contain inaccurate information
*blogs can be time consuming.
*people may leave rude or inappropriate comments.
*A wiki is software used to create a website
*A wiki is a Web page that can be viewed and modified by anybody with a
Web browser and access to the Internet.
Characteristics of Wiki

* Easy to use
*Can be used any time, any where
Advantages
*Support many forms of media, including URLs, photos, videos, and music
*Collect information from student groups.
*anyone can edit
*easy to use and learn
Disadvantages
*You have a limited search function
*Sharing information outside your wiki is almost impossible
*Anyone can edit so this may be too open for some applications,
*A place on the internet where people can leave messages or discuss
particular subjects with other people at the same time.
*Forums are an excellent way to create social connections and a sense of
community.
*They vary on their subject matter and how they are administered.
Advantages
*it creates an interactive space
*improve communication.
*Increase collaboration.
Disadvantages
*online discussion forums may cause information overload.
*There is often no clear direction
*Online forums lack quality
